There are ongoing research programs for Sign Language. So far we have published: A dictionary of Pakistan sign language (Edition I & II) by Norwegian Church Aid. Ours was the first sign language book in the region and also used by Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh. Relationships in sign language. Time and seasons. Anatomy and body actions. Numeration. A series of stories. Interacting development of new signs with teachers.
No admission fee. Free hearing aids to those who can not purchase them. Speech therapy. Sign language classes for parents and teachers. Counseling for parents. In-house workshops & seminars for teachers. Annual picnic for teachers and staff.
To build a healthy environment, ABSA is now a “NO Plastic Zone”. In this regard, students are taught the hazards and harmfulness of polythene bags.
